Standards Norway (Standard Norge) invited to a morning meeting in Oslo this week, discussing the need for standardization in the context of increased safety level in tunnels. Society is built on standards, and standards promote innovation! When everyone in the industry uses the same starting point - a common standard - then good practice can be implemented more easily, which in turn makes it easier to build our society in a safe, sustainable and profitable way.
The World Tunneling Congress 2019 opened officially on Monday May 6th, with the Opening Ceremony, but thematic courses and international teams started to work May 3rd. From May 6th to 8th, a series of lectures, seminars and workshops focused on the world of design and construction, in relation to works involving tunnels.

ITS Norway and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration invited to a seminar in April 2019.
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration is today a key player in the ITS area in Norway, and the agency has a stated goal of taking leading roles in the development of future mobility.
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration aims to be a regulator and authority, facilitating and being a knowledge developer. Through the responsibility for the road and traffic, the Road Administration lays the foundation for other actors to develop products and services related to the transport system in Norway.
The program included the latest news from ITS pilots and other projects. Through these, the focus is also on the challenges associated with data management and the regulatory role.
